Farmer’s wife: Cut Glass Dish

Arriving at the letter C, I started with a pretty difficult block. Difficult because the pieces are once again very noumerous, and hence very small.

Apart from that, the block’s design is simple enough. Half square triangles in just one colour combination, all pointing in one direction—what could be plainer? And yet—

the effect you get is astonishing. The block truely lives up to its name. I can see a beautiful cut glass dish, sparkling, reflecting the sunlight like a polished diamond.

I couldn’t resist to fussy cut the three squares. I guess I’m taking every opportunity now whenever I come across a piece that is big enough.
